SICILIA · ONDE PERFETTE · 1963 An oval cream cartouche with a gold scroll frame, a volcano-and-wave emblem at the nose, and a wide orange-to-red chevron across the lower third. Etna above the water, the swell below it — the years when a handful of Italians were riding a coast nobody associated with surfing.
FISTRAL BEACH · NEWQUAY · CORNWALL · 1964 St Piran's Cross — the flag of Cornwall — laid full width across the black, with a small enamel-style plate carrying the place and the year. Fistral is where British surfing found its home break, and 1964 is the year the sport organised itself there.
FINISH Both boards carry a light, deliberate patina: soft ageing, fine surface scratches, warm wear along the outer rail. The kind of surface a board earns in a shed over sixty years — not damage. No chips, no cracks, no exposed base. The graphics stay clean and readable.
